The Need

Transmission of infectious agents to patients via reusable instruments is an on-going and unnecessary hazard for patients and a significant liability for healthcare providers.

The need for SteriView Instrument Inspection and Infection Control Systems is immediate and urgent and is expected to continue to grow over time with the expansion of “Minimally Invasive Surgery” (MIS) Procedures.  Reprocessed instruments play an essential part in the enormous numbers of procedures, annually in the US:

It is vital that Hospitals and Surgery Centers have the requisite visualization technology in compliance with the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation and American National Standards Institutes ST79 and ST91 Standards as well as expected new mandates by Congress.

SteriView®Technologies, Inc. will be used to provide Hospital and Surgery Center Sterile Processing and Operating Room Departments visual confirmation that no sources of potentially infectious bacteria or bioburden remain in their instruments after cleaning.
